THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

We are seeking for an ambitious finance assistant to join our London based Finance team (to make a team of 7) on a permanent basis.  The role would suit a graduate with some purchase ledger experience who is eager to progress and broaden their experience in Finance.

 

WHAT YOU ARE HERE TO DO

The primary responsibilities are outlined in the key areas below.

  • Input and scan purchase invoices onto system (approx. 350 per month for the Group of 5 companies)
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of multi-currency payment runs
  • Deal with queries and liaise with suppliers globally
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Manage, issue, record and reconcile petty cash in multi currencies
  • Process credit card payments, sign back in expenses and incentives
  • Prepare monthly outstanding reports on credit card expenses & float expenses
  • Review aged creditors for the Group and comment on any queries raised by accountants

In addition, the job holder is expected to undertake any other task, deemed to be appropriate to this role, as directed by your line manager or other member of the Management Team.

 

THE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

The job holder is expected to have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • 6 months purchase ledger experience preferred but will consider fresh graduates with a relevant degree (Accountancy and Finance, Mathematics & Economics)
  • Experience in working with computerised accountancy packages preferred
  • Good time management and have the ability to prioritise work
  • Knowledge of working within the media industry preferred and ability to communicate efficiently with non-finance personnel
  • A team player
  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Proactive in problem solving
  • Attention to detail – able to produce documents that are accurate
