The Numbers Lab @ Firefish restructures, welcomes 3 new team members

Firefish Group’s quantitative consultancy, The Numbers Lab @ Firefish (TNL), has just restructured and hired 3 new people to the team, to better service you – our lovely clients.

Jim Mann, previously TNL’s Head of Culture & formerly Head of Insight at The Guardian, has been promoted to Group Head, while Anne-Marie Gardner (nee McCallion) takes on a new role as Head of Ad-Hoc, leading on strategic projects and client accounts.

In addition to the promotions of Jim & Anne-Marie, Dan Farrow joins the team as Head of Tracking & Testing. Dan, formerly of Kantar, brings 25 years of experience with him, including being the Strategic Client Partner on the global Vodafone account, overseeing all work on their CX programme and rebrand.

Majbritt Rijs, Managing Director of The Numbers Lab @ Firefish, says:

“As we continue to grow and deliver more strategic work across our global client base, it’s an ideal time to infuse our team with new ideas, thinking and people. Jim brings a wealth of client-side experience and understanding from the Guardian to the leadership of the lab, and we are excited about his plans for new ways of servicing and delivering insights to our clients. In the last year, we have added a number of new global tracking accounts that will benefit greatly from Dan’s extensive specialist experience, and we’re seeing a notable increase our clients wanting multi-sourced, integrated strategic solutions – work that Anne-Marie will be spearheading under the banner of the new Ad-Hoc Insights unit”.

We asked Dan why he chose “the lab”:

“The Numbers Lab @ Firefish has been on my radar for some time as an exciting independent agency with big ambitions and great people, so I’m excited to get to work building on the strong foundations they already have in place. I can’t wait to put my Customer Experience & Brand Positioning expertise in to play, establishing strong partnerships with the already stellar list of clients – and developing plenty of new ones too”.

In addition to Dan joining the team, TNL  also welcomes Kim Scofield, as Director and Stefanie Jirsak as Research Manager to the team too.

Certified Scrum Master, Kim, joins after 7 years at Kantar, where we she worked on global trackers & integrated innovation and brand projects for the likes of HSBC, MasterCard, PlayStation & AkzoNobel. Kim also brings a particular expertise in APAC, having lived and worked in Singapore, and also mentors with the Girls Network

Kim says of  joining the team:

“I’m excited to bring my agile/ scrum training to use to help us continue to grow and meet evolving client needs in such a fast-paced world.  The business attracts the kind of briefs that really stimulate fresh thinking, and so am excited to get stuck in with clients on understanding and solving their challenges in true partnership as that’s how I love to work”

Stefanie joins from VisitBritain where she worked as an Evaluation Manager, focused on evaluating international marketing campaigns for their impact through ROI modelling and other advanced statistical techniques, that fed directly into UK Government strategy.

Stef also comments:

“I was instantly attracted to The Numbers Lab’s philosophy of ‘no size fits all’. My favourite work is where you become a client’s partner, building something together to ensure that the research informs the business needs – and it is clear that this is the case here, so I couldn’t be happier”

We are so excited for the future and hope you get to “meet” them all soon.

If you have a challenge you would like to talk to the team about, please just get in touch
